Historical Overview
The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, opened in 1955, is one of the most recognizable buildings in Poland and a powerful symbol of the capital’s post-war history. For many years, it was the tallest building in Poland, and even today it remains one of the most dominant landmarks in Warsaw’s skyline. Measuring over 230 meters including the spire, the building can be seen from many parts of the city and continues to attract both residents and visitors.
